Common problems and their fixes.
extynt is not in the Window menu
Restart After Effects. If it is still missing, run the installer again with After Effects closed.
“extynt’s helper isn’t running”
It normally restarts by itself. Press Try again. If it stays down, restart After Effects.
“Set up a model to start”
Add a service and API key under Settings › Model, then press Save.
“After Effects has a dialog or menu open”
Close the dialog or menu. extynt carries on by itself; you do not need to press Apply again.
“extynt paused changes”
extynt could not confirm that the last change finished, so it stopped touching the project. Give After Effects a minute. If it does not respond, quit it, reopen the project, then press Done on the banner.
Your AI says After Effects is not connected
Open After Effects. extynt starts with it and reconnects by itself, then ask your AI again.
Your AI gets AUTH_REJECTED
Restart your AI app so it picks up the current extynt session, and check you are signed in in the panel.
Your AI gets LICENSE_REQUIRED
Open the extynt panel in After Effects and sign in, start a trial or buy.
Undo is not offered on a card
Undo takes back the newest change first. If you or another plan changed the project after this one, the card says so. Step back with Edit › Undo yourself, or undo the newer plan first.
“Rate limit reached”
The spending guard paused extynt. Wait a minute, or turn off Pause after heavy use.
