Trust AI with your project because you can check it.

Your project, your machine, your rules. 83 operations, each one
checked before it runs and read back after.
There is no script tool.

Three promises of control

Trust comes from control, not from promises.

Safety, privacy and transparency are three separate things. You get all three.

  1. 01

Safety: it proposes, you can undo.

No raw ExtendScript. It works through 83 typed operations, each checked against your open project before it runs. Each plan is one undo step, or take back everything the agent did at once.

  2. 02

Privacy: your project, your machine, your rules.

extynt collects no projects, prompts or usage. You bring the model, so what it needs to see goes to that provider and no one else.

  3. 03

Transparency: see it, not just trust it.

What it did: the plan, the approval and a receipt read back from After Effects. What leaves: listed in full. How it works: part of it is open source.

The difference

Everyone else hands the AI a script runner.

Free MCP servers

run_script(anything)
  • Runs whatever script the model writes
  • Nothing checks it first
  • No error counts as success

Paid AI agents

extendscript(anything)
  • Raw scripts in every mode
  • Needs file and network access
  • Undo restores the whole project

extynt

plan(83 known operations)
  • No script tool to call
  • Every target checked in your project
  • Every change read back, one undo per plan

Script runners that run whatever they're sent already have CVEs: CVE-2026-5029, CVE-2026-44717. Compared against public docs, October 2026.

Built to say no

It knows what it can't do.

Anything outside the 83 operations gets refused, with a reason.

Expressions are the one kind of code it writes. They're capped at 65,536 characters and listed in the plan before anything runs.

  • DENIEDRun a raw ExtendScript
  • DENIEDTouch a layer that isn't there
  • DENIEDApply a plan edited after approval
  • STOPPEDApply to a project that changed
  • REFUSEDTracking analysis, Roto Brush
  • ASKSUse an operation not checked on your build

Your AI, checked

Bring Claude or Codex. Same checks.

The 83 operations are available to the panel and to every MCP client. The MCP surface is 35 tools, and new capabilities arrive as operation types inside ae_propose_plan. Over MCP they get the same checks and undo as the panel. It reads every effect you have installed, third-party too, so plans use real names, not guesses.

Data transparency

Your project, your machine, your rules.

You bring the model, so the project context it needs goes to that provider, or stays local with a local model. extynt doesn't collect it. From the app, only sign-in, license checks and problem reports you send reach extynt.com.

  • No analytics or telemetry
  • Your model key stays on your computer
  • extynt doesn’t collect your projects
  • The site keeps email, computers, license state
Read what leaves, exactly

Architectural transparency

Part of it is open source. Check it.

Open source and transparency aren't the same thing, and extynt isn't fully open source. Three pieces are public, free to use on their own.

FAQ

Questions.

Can it break my project?

It's beta software, so keep your usual backups. What it can't do is run a script you never saw, and every plan undoes on its own.

Wouldn't scripts let the AI do more?

Yes, and nobody could check them. Trust needs something to check.

Does every change need my approval?

You decide. By default, changes you can undo apply at once, and deletes, renders and imports wait for you to press Apply. You can make every change wait. MCP clients approve their own plans, and your client's permissions decide whether it asks you first.

Does my project leave my computer?

extynt doesn't collect it, but the model you choose has to see what it works on. Requests and project context go to your provider, or stay local with a local model. extynt.com receives only sign-in, license checks and problem reports you send. See the privacy page for the full list.

Which platforms?

Windows with After Effects 25 or 26, and macOS with After Effects 26.

Who pays for the AI?

You, directly to your provider. Or run a local model, or use the Claude or Codex account you already have. extynt never bills AI usage.

AI you don't have to take on trust.
